NOTES
I was feeling inspired by the smell of firework smoke and wanted to see if I could recreate something like it using the fragrance materials I had on hand. I noticed the other day when I was smelling my materials that peonile kind of smelled like firework smoke to me. I started with this material since it was the inspiration for this fragrance and figured I could add some smokey/metallic smelling ingredients to build it up a bit and create this accord.
I decided to add some undecavertol because I thought it had an airiness to it that might help to create an atmospheric effect. I then decided to play more with the senses by adding stemone which you pick up more in the back of your sinuses. Now this was quite the bitter/green combo I had at this point and I wanted to sweeten up what I had a bit to make it smell more pleasing. I chose to add ebanol for its sweet woodiness and methyl diantilis for its sweet spiciness. These two seemed to give the fragrance a bit more volume but it I was picking up rubber or some other vague chemical smell that was not very pleasant. Lastly I decided to add some rose oxide hoping that this would lend some shimmery metallic notes to the final composition.
I would say that this fragrance leans more bitter/green than smoke/metallic but lets just say that it smells like a plant that is mere seconds away from exploding into a glorious shower of sparks and gunpowder glory!
